The Lombardi Award™ Committee Announces 13 Semifinalists for 2025 Award

HOUSTON (November 4, 2025) - The Lombardi Award™ Committee is proud to announce the 13 semifinalists for the 2025 Lombardi Award™, honoring the nation’s top college linemen and linebackers who embody the discipline, character, and excellence of legendary coach Vince Lombardi.

Originally intended to name 12 semifinalists, the Committee expanded the list to 13 this year following an exact tie for the final spot in the voting process.

Selected from an initial preseason watchlist of more than 90 players, these standout athletes represent programs across all FBS conferences and independents and have distinguished themselves through their leadership, strength, and impact on and off the field.

Now in its 52nd year, the Lombardi Award™ has been presented annually in Houston, Texas, since its inception in 1970. This year's award ceremony will take place on December 10, 2025, with proceeds from gala sponsorships and table and ticket sales benefiting cancer research and supporting families and patients affected by the disease.

The Lombardi Award™ was established in memory of Coach Vince Lombardi. The award represents more than the distinction involved; it honors players who best exemplify Lombardi’s enduring principles of leadership, courage, and discipline. The 2025 semifinalists have set themselves apart through exceptional ability in their respective positions, perseverance, and impact on their teams, continuing a legacy that inspires future generations of athletes.
