Jonathan Allen, born on January 16, 1995, in Anniston, Alabama, was a dominant defensive tackle at the University of Alabama and currently plays for the Washington Commanders in the NFL. Known for his exceptional skills and impact on the field, Allen had a remarkable college career, winning several defensive player of the year awards during his senior season in 2016, including the Lombardi Award. He was a key contributor to Alabama's 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship victory. In the 2017 NFL Draft, Allen was selected in the first round by Washington and has since earned two Pro Bowl selections.

Allen's football journey began at Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn, Virginia, where he excelled as a defensive standout. His impressive high school performances and numerous accolades earned him a scholarship to play for the University of Alabama. While at Alabama, Allen showcased his skills and became a force to be reckoned with on the defensive line. He contributed to Alabama's national championship run in 2015 and had a standout senior season, earning prestigious awards such as the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, Chuck Bednarik Award, and Lombardi Award.

In the NFL, Allen has made a significant impact for Washington. Despite facing injury setbacks early in his career, he has proven himself as a formidable force on the field. His versatility and ability to play both defensive end and defensive tackle have made him a valuable asset to the team. Throughout his professional career, Allen has consistently showcased his exceptional tackling skills and ability to disrupt plays. His contributions have earned him two Pro Bowl selections in 2021 and 2022.

He has worked with organizations such as Sasha Bruce Youthwork and has participated in charitable initiatives like the NFL's "My Cause My Cleats" campaign.
