Grant Wistrom, born on December 26, 1975, in Webber, Kansas, was an exceptional defensive end at the University of Nebraska before having a distinguished nine-season career in the NFL. He began his journey at Nebraska, where he played for the Cornhuskers and earned the accolade of consensus All-American in 1997.

Selected by the St. Louis Rams as the sixth overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft, Wistrom showcased his skills and tenacity during his six seasons with the team. He was pivotal to the Rams' Super Bowl XXXIV-winning squad in 2000. After his successful tenure with the Rams, Wistrom joined the Seattle Seahawks in 2004, playing for three seasons before retiring from the NFL in 2006.

Wistrom's formidable presence on the field was marked by his size and athleticism, making him a dominant force. His remarkable performances earned him recognition as a three-time Pro Bowl selection and a place on the All-Pro team in 2003. Throughout his career, Wistrom amassed impressive statistics, including 330 tackles, 42 sacks, and 9 forced fumbles. In 2011, he was honored with induction into the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame.

Following his retirement from football in 2007, Wistrom ventured into agriculture and established multiple agriculture and land development companies. Additionally, he embarked on a coaching career, serving as the defensive line coach at his alma mater, the University of Nebraska, from 2011 to 2014. Alongside his business and coaching endeavors, Wistrom actively engages in various charitable organizations, including the University of Nebraska Foundation and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
