WALL OF HONOR

Just weeks after Vince Lombardi’s death in 1970,  his widow, Marie, authorized the Rotary Club of Houston to establish the Rotary Lombardi Award®, an annual event which recognizes the nation’s best college football linemen and celebrates the memory of one of football’s greatest coaches. In accordance with Lombardi Family wishes, proceeds benefit cancer research,  to include The American Cancer Society.

 

This year marks the 48th anniversary of the award. The Rotary Club of Houston and Honorary Chair and Famed Green Bay Packer Jerry Kramer are proud to announce this prestigious national award on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at the Hilton Americas in Houston, Texas. We will present the RLA trophy to the winner and honor Mr. Robert “Bob” Unanue, CEO/President of GOYA Foods with the Rotary Lombardi Humanitarian Award.

The Wall of Honor will be printed in the Souvenir Program, displayed at the event, and included in the 2022 Rotary Lombardi Award website. It will serve to remember the sacrifices, commitment and caring of these honorees.
